Sarah Palin vs. Man Ray

This ad caught my eye next to a New York Times article second-guessing John McCain's choice of Sarah Palin as running mate. An interesting juxtaposition to say the least.

The ad goes to the Americans for the Arts homepage.

Sweet! New AC/DC "Rock N Roll Train"

Not covering any new ground here, but it's hard not to bang your head along to this classic tight AC/DC riffage. The album title could use some work though... Black Ice... isn't that the name of some nasty alcopop?

British vocab lessons from Dizzee Rascal

I've learned two new bits of local slang while Dizzee's latest single has been at #1 on the charts over the last 4 weeks...

Not sure when/if I'll be able to nonchalantly slip these into conversation, but I'll give it a try.

Do you think this is what Akon had in mind for this track?

This is pretty funny, especially if you like Gwen Stefani and/or dogs.

Cool London door

I see a lot of interesting and colorful doors as I walk around London. Unfortunately this photo doesn't really show how vibrantly yellow this door is, due to the overcast conditions and iPhone's poor camera.

London's very accessible taxis

Just another reason the "London black cab" is the most famous taxi of them all. Although I will say there's nothing quite like being raced uptown late at night in one of NYC's yellow cabs, with the driver - crazed gleam in his eye - blowing through red lights and weaving through traffic like its a timed slalom run.

MobileMe doesn't support a supported browser

OK, I'll kick the horse while it's down even though MobileMe has worked so far for my modest needs (sync of contacts, calendar and bookmarks across 2 Macs and an iPhone).

As far as I an tell there's no way to bypass this error message to get to the Web interface with my current browser of choice, Flock 1.2.4. Which is built on Firefox 2.0.0.16 - clearly "Firefox 2 or later." I'd say Apple's user-agent detection logic could stand to be a little more flexible.

Wedding Pictures

Sharing this with all of you that probably don't know Lauren and Evan either. Despite multiple attempts, I've been unable to convince them that I don't know them or any of their friends or family and so don't need to be kept in the loop about their wedding festivities. Although I did enjoy providing music recommendations for the reception. ;)

Enjoy! (and if you happen to know any of these people, please draw their attention to this so that they may be shamed into finally updating their address books)
